Wow, what a day.
A day of heady achievement, both on and off the field, so to speak. Second prize for the SDARS exhibition stand and winners of the hard-fought-for tug of war contest. Our team of senior citizens pitched against a team of prime-of-life, half our age guys and we won two out of three rounds, coming back from a defeat in the first round. What a class act. My abiding memory of this red-letter day for the Club is of our team digging-in and giving it all.
