Report of Annual General Meeting 2011

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting
Held on 21st January 2011 at 7.30 P.M.
in the upstairs function room, Castle Swimming Pool, Spalding.

14 Members Present (4 apologies of absence were received.)

The meeting started at 19.30 hours.

The minutes on the 2010 AGM were read out and approved. 
Agreed unanimously.
 

The Chairman spoke of the past year's events and the fact that it had been a rewarding year for the club with many set targets being achieved.
The Gleed school having been booked again for another rally, A junk sale arranged for February, he also spoke of the open day, club library, Purchases made, Christmas Dinner and Donations.

Agreed unanimously.

The treasurer announced that the club expenses during the year had increased on the previous year, the Rally takings were slightly up, the Junk sale made a slight profit. He stated donations had been made, current membership, and the club of the year award.

The club at present is in a very healthy situation.

 ANY OTHER BUSINESS

Pete M0GTR asked if the Yahoo group could be looked at as he often had problems logging in, other members also noted this.

Paul M0WAF asked if the website could also have a blog incorporated, or a PHP bulletin board, he offered to help if required.

Graham G8NWC announced that he would set up a Twitter account for the club, as a lot of info could be passed to others quickly, re contests, rally etc. He also asked that if speakers were to be sourced again this year that we have a bigger turn out of members.

Bob G1ZJP suggested that members considered a small horizontal antenna instead of verticals for the UKAC contests, this would help in raising the club score.
