The club has had another excellent year with
the membership standing at 41 including 4 honorary members; this is a
little bit down on last year but still shows a good membership and is
comparable with other years.
The junk sale this year made a modest £23 which is much better
than a loss. As this is also a social event for members and friends
to get together and even if it only makes a modest profit long may
they continue.
The rally was once
again a great success and brought the club a nice profit. The members
put a lot of time and effort into the planning and arranging of the
rally and deserve a lot of credit for making it a success.
Donations this year have been very good, a total of £85 from
members and £250 for coming third in the Club of the Year award.
Thanks to the members concerned and also to those who put a lot of
time and effort into the gaining of the Award. Also the electricity
bill for the caravan was paid for with a kind
donation.
The club has donated £105 to the RSGB Spectrum fund this year;
this was made up of £75 from club funds and £30 from the drinks
machine.
The club room rent,
hiring the Gleed school for the Rally and the insurance have all gone
up again, but these are only small rises and should not present a
problem.
The RSGB subs and all
the other clubs and societies that the club subscribes to along with
magazine subs have stayed the same.
