Report of Annual General Meeting 2001

 
Minutes of A.G.M  Held on Friday, 19th January 2001
 
The meeting started at 19.50 hrs.19 Members present.
( in addition 2 apologies received.)
The minutes of the last AGM (2000) were read and approved.
Agreed unanimously.
The Chairman spoke about the club, and reported that the callsign, G400 has been applied for as a Memorial Group Licence.
 
The Treasurer presented his report and the club accounts (separate statement)
 
The Secretary thanked Colin (G4DDI) for his work on the club web site.

Accepted unanimously.
The club commenced the election of Officers for 2001.
The following club members were elected or volunteered.

Other Business,
Mrs Mary Hoult was adopted as honourary President of the Spalding & District ARS.
Agreed unanimously.
A telephone line for the clubroom was discussed and a proposal made to reject the idea, an amendment to carry out further investigation was also made. A vote was taken and there were several abstentions. Amendment carried. 
Votes for 6  against 4
 
It was proposed that new VHF/UHF equipment be purchased for the clubroom. It was agreed that the Chairman, Treasurer and another member look into the matter and make a suitable purchase (Cost likely to be around one thousand pounds)
