GB3TL

Please note that GB3TL has now been shutdown.

GB3TL the 70cm repeater located in Spalding has recently been reactivated, following a period which left the town and surrounding area without a local repeater due to the original site becoming unavailable.

Pete G0SVO, the NOV holder for the repeater undertook the task of reactivating the repeater with a site change to the clubroom, located in the centre of the town.

Derek G4SJV provided the necessary equipment and constructed the logic and control interface for a Pye F496 base station.

The idea of this repeater from the late G3YFS, the head of the original team, was that it was to be a local fill in community repeater, this ideal has been followed from the new location.

The repeater provides reliable coverage to an area within a 10 miles radius of Spalding, although as is always the case, stations well out of this area are often heard.
