The club annual Christmas dinner was held at the Royal Mail Cart, Spalding on Saturday 17th December 2005. There was a fair turnout with 26 members and wives present. I would also especially like to thank those people that had to make long journeys to attend.
The Annual club awards were made and I would like to thank Ambrose (M0DJA) for his amusing recital about the drive through cash point machine and for presenting the trophies.
Charles (Chas) Raphael (2E0CHR) was awarded the best newcomer trophy.
Alan Hensman (M0NBR) received the G4OO Memorial Trophy.
John Hill received the G3XBS Memorial Trophy. Brenda and Rachel did a fine job with the raffle again this year and the takings were donated to M0CPI ‘s wife to try and give a little Christmas cheer, as Dave is sadly no longer with us.
