Presentation of Club Trophies

The club annual Christmas dinner was held at the Mermaid Inn at Surfleet on Saturday 6th December 2003. There was a good turnout with 23 members and wives present.

Jim Denton, G7CWM, made a presentation of this years Trophies.

The awards went to: -

Graham Boor, G8NWC who received the G400 Dennis Hoult Memorial Shield for the most contribution to the club.

John Hill, G4NBR who received the G3XBS Trophy For Services to the Club.

Roy Stafford, M3EWH who received the Trophy for best newcomer.
(Roy seems to be thanking the balloon for the award!)

Rachel Hensman, M3DIS and Brenda Hill organised a small raffle which raised the sum of £46 which is to be given to the Children’s Ward at Pilgrim Hospital, for those children that are going to be on the ward on Christmas day. I wonder how many sticky buns and bags of sweets (that they shouldn’t really have) that will buy. Hopefully this will put a few smiling faces on the ward.

All in all, all had a great night and we would all like to thank Colette and Paul Dimbleby for organising the event and making sure that we all had a good feed.
