Treasurer's Report, presented at the 2015 AGM.

The club has had another productive year with a good contribution from the
rally, about the same as the previous year.

2014 was a very busy year financially. After the storm damage to the old
porta-cabin we fairly quickly determined that it was not feasible to repair and
we looked at the costs and the impact of procuring a replacement
“shack/workshop”. After much debate the call went out to members for help
with donations and fund raising. We were heartened by such a generous
response and, armed with the savings we already had, set about deciding our
maximum spend. The new caravan arrived at Surfleet on 22nd July with many
club members around to assist.

I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has donated their
money and their time so generously to establishing the new caravan. A
special thanks to Ambrose for his permission, understanding, patience and
hard work during this process.

On slightly more mundane matters, the Swimming Pool room rental was
increased by 3˝% which was disappointing considering the requests for a
reduction due to the lack of access to the roof. This coming year we will be
looking carefully at our requirements and review our approach to this problem.

The membership has reduced slightly to 38 and the subscription income has
reduced slightly as a result. This was offset by the slightly increased rally
surplus and a reduction in insurance costs.

The marginal increase in the rally contribution was primarily due to increases
in the pitch/table rentals and the raffle, thank you Rachel! It was good to note
that the costs were similar to the previous year. Magazine costs were
reduced by not renewing the Radio User subs.

Special mention goes to Graham as the LSWC contribution for his work at the
HamFest was up by 5%.

Overall the club has done well to maintain the status quo during 2014 and
remains healthy despite the purchase of the caravan. This will be needed as
we enter what looks to be another busy year with the 50th Anniversary
activities.
