Chairman's Report, presented at the 2014 AGM.

2013 has been a rewarding year, club targets set at during the year have been met.

The Gleed School has been booked for June 1st 2014, thanks to another good rally there in 2013; increases in costs for this years rally have been kept to a minimum.

A junk sale has been booked for Bromley Hall for the 16th February.

The club continues to due well in contests, our thanks go to Keith G4ODA, Jim G0HGH and Bob G1ZJP and all club members who participate in these fun evenings. All club callsigns have been used and we will be starting the 3 Radio Communication Foundation courses, Foundation, Intermediate and Full soon. Due to unforseen circumstances fewer courses were run last year, but it is envisaged that a full programme will be undertaken, according to needs, this year.

The club is in a healthy financial position which Andrew G8BYB will report on later this meeting.

A Radio Field Day was held and various activities on the day raised funds for the Sue Ryder Hospice at Peterborough. I'm pleased to report that the day was enjoyed by all and Sue Ryder Foundation were gratefulfor their donations too.

A nice Christmas meal was held at the Mermaid Inn at Surfleet which was enjoyed by 41 members, family and friends and thanks go to Andy M0PXY for organising this.

My thanks go to our committee and all members for their help and support during the year and I hope we can look forward to another successful year for the club and go from strength to strength.

 John Hill G4NBR, Chairman
